Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito was touring the Holyoke Innovation District this morning and popped in to The Cubit along with Mayor Alex Morse, HCC President Bill Messner and Director of Planning & Economic Development Marcos Marrero.

Three groups of high school students toured The Cubit today. Two history classes from the Springfield Renaissance School were exploring the revitalization of Holyoke’s industrial core; while a class from Lighthouse Holyoke, taught by Cubit partner Denis Luzuriaga, was concluding their design seminar.

Max Salvage of Holyoke is removing these two 100 year old H.B. Smith boilers from the basement. They were installed by the Holyoke Valve & Hydrant Company and have been in operation ever since. We’re saving the fronts of the boilers
